Peridance Center

In July of 2012 Ladies of Hip-Hop Festival will partner with the Peridance Capezio Center for our 2nd year in their state of the art performance and dance studios to bring you amazing performances and workshops. For over 25 years, Peridance has been a recognizable force in the community, a place where toddlers, teenagers and adults can dance and learn alongside professional dancers, acclaimed teachers and International students from around the globe. www.peridance.com

Every year in July New York City is taken over by women from all over the world coming to participate, teach and perform for Ladies of Hip-Hop Festival NYC. In order to grow the festival, in 2010 we moved from our birthplace Philadelphia to New York City. We were a little anxious about the move but it proved to be a huge success. The pictures show the astonishing amount of participants from our first year in New York. LofHHF NYC 2010 also welcomed our first international instructor, YOSHIE TEAM of Japan. A world-renown Hip-Hop dancer and winner of countless Hip-Hop dance battles around the world, Yoshie made her first trip to New York for LofHHF to teach for the very fist time in the US. The experience was amazing for us all. This year promises to be just as amazing with instructors confirmed from Canada, Sweden, and the UK.

Peridance Center: has been a core member of New York City’s dance community since its inception in 1983. In partnership with Capezio/Ballet Makers Inc., the center now has a new home and name – Peridance Capezio Center.
