LDC is an all female global dance collective that creates dance works illuminating the strength, power and diversity of women in Hip-Hop. Ever present in the work is the freestyle foundation of Hip-Hop while exploring the space of proscenium performance. Founded in 2004 by Executive Director, Michele Byrd McPhee, Ladies of Hip-Hop has been a driving force in the empowerment of girls & women in Hip-Hop.

LITEFEET with Britney & Tomoe

Learn + explore the fundamentals of Hip-Hop freestyle genre, litefeet. This workshop breaks down the party and battle components through a series of drills, sequences and cyphers. Students will build a solid foundation while learning fundamentals and then develop their own individual expression and internalize the party element and energy of litefeet during a jam session.
WAACKING with Miyabi

Waacking is a fiery and expressive dance that began in the early 1970’s heavily influenced by the funk and disco era in the disco clubs of Los Angeles. This workshop will focus on the different elements that compose waacking: basic foundation, drills, grove, pose, character, musicality, footwork, freestyle and fun!
VOGUE with Saki

This beginner level workshop will focus on vogue basics and runway trends. Students will develop a better understanding of vogue fundamentals while learning to pop, dip and spin with grace and precision.
